Description

Delicious vanilla cupcakes topped with a creamy pink frosting, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 and 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, room temperature (for frosting)
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pink food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin pan with cupcake liners.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. Prepare Dry Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Begin and end with the flour mixture, mixing just until incorporated.
  5. Fill Cupcake Liners: Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full.
  6. Bake: Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow cupcakes to cool in the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Make the Frosting: In a large bowl, beat the butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition. Add vanilla extract and enough cream to achieve desired consistency. Add a few drops of pink food coloring and mix until evenly colored.
  8. Frost the Cupcakes: Once the cupcakes are completely cool, frost them using a piping bag or a knife.
