Description
A delightful treat combining the sweetness of white chocolate with fresh strawberries and crunchy graham crackers.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 medium-sized apples
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 4 large strawberries, sliced
- 1/4 cup crushed graham crackers or cookie crumbs
- 1/4 cup strawberry-flavored sprinkles or crushed freeze-dried strawberries
- 4 wooden sticks or decorative paper straws
- Pink food coloring gel (optional for drizzling)
Instructions
- Prepare the Apples:
- Wash and thoroughly dry the apples.
- Insert a wooden stick or straw into the top center of each apple.
- Melt the White Chocolate:
- In a heatproof bowl, melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave or double boiler. If using a microwave, heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- Dip the Apples:
- Dip each apple into the melted white chocolate, turning to coat evenly.
- Allow excess chocolate to drip off and place the apples on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Decorate:
- Before the chocolate sets, sprinkle crushed graham crackers around the base of each apple.
- Add a ring of strawberry sprinkles or crushed freeze-dried strawberries near the top.
- Drizzle some pink-tinted white chocolate over each apple (optional).
- Add Strawberry Slices:
- Secure a slice of strawberry on top of each apple using the remaining chocolate as glue.
- Set:
- Allow the apples to set at room temperature or refrigerate for quicker results.
Notes
- Ensure apples are completely dry before dipping to help the chocolate adhere better.
- You can customize the toppings with nuts, candies, or different colored sprinkles.
- If chocolate thickens while dipping, microwave for an additional 10-15 seconds to remelt.
- Use a squeeze bottle or piping bag for more precise chocolate drizzling.
