Description

A delicious recipe for teriyaki chicken thighs marinated in a flavorful sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup mirin
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • to taste Cornstarch (for thickening)
  • to taste Sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • to taste Green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken: Whisk together soy sauce, mirin, brown sugar, rice vinegar, ginger, and garlic in a bowl. Add chicken thighs and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Cook the chicken: In a hot skillet, cook the marinated chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from heat and bring to a boil, then simmer. Mix cornstarch with water and whisk into the sauce until thickened.
  3. Combine: Slice the cooked chicken and return it to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat and serve over warm rice, garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
