Ingredients

  • 1 (16 oz) package fresh or store-bought gnocchi
  • 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Gather all ingredients. Finely chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  3. Increase heat slightly and add ground beef; cook until browned (5-7 minutes).
  4. Pour in crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning; simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Boil salted water in a separate pot and cook gnocchi according to package instructions (until they float).
  6. Drain gnocchi and gently fold them into the meat sauce; simmer for an additional 3 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
