Description
Delicious pan-seared salmon fillets topped with fresh dill and lemon.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pieces Salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 piece lemon (zest and juice)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
- 2 cloves garlic, minced (optional)
Instructions
- Rinse the salmon fillets and pat them dry with a paper towel to promote even cooking.
- On a large plate, drizzle olive oil over the salmon. Sprinkle salt and black pepper generously on both sides.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a splash of olive oil if needed and allow it to heat until shimmering.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down in the skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes, without moving them around.
- Carefully flip the salmon and cook for another 3-4 minutes. In the last minute of cooking, add minced garlic if using.
- Pour in the lemon juice and sprinkle the lemon zest and fresh dill over the fillets. Let it cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Transfer the salmon to a plate and garnish with extra lemon wedges and dill for a stunning presentation.
Notes
- For best results, ensure the skillet is hot before adding the salmon.
- Optional: Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or rice.
