Description

Delicious ground beef pizza pockets filled with gooey mozzarella cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 package refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • ½ cup sliced pepperoni (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning; add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
  2. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Roll out the pizza dough into a circle about 12 inches in diameter.
  3. Spread pizza sauce on half of the dough; top with cooked beef mixture and mozzarella cheese. Fold over the other half and crimp edges to seal.
  4. Transfer to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the top with beaten egg and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • For an extra kick, add red pepper flakes to the ground beef while cooking.
  • Make sure to crimp the edges well to prevent the filling from leaking out during baking.
