Description

A delicious and festive peppermint hot chocolate recipe perfect for the holidays.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • ⅓ cup Granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips (or semi-sweet chocolate bar)
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • ½ teaspoon Peppermint Extract
  • Optional Toppings:
  • Candy Canes
  • Marshmallows
  • Whipped cream
  • Crushed Candy Canes
  • Christmas Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Add the milk and heavy cream to your sauce pan and stir while it’s on medium heat until it is warm.
  2. Once warm, stir in the sugar and chocolate. Continue stirring until all of the chocolate is melted and well mixed in with the other ingredients.
  3. When everything is well combined, remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla and peppermint extracts.
  4. Pour into mugs, add your desired toppings and enjoy!
