- 1 lb (450g) ground beef
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp ginger, grated (optional)
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar or honey
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- ¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional)
- Optional toppings: steamed broccoli, shredded carrots, or spinach
Instructions
- Cook the Beef – In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned, breaking it up into small pieces. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Add Flavor – Stir in garlic and ginger. Cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Make the Sauce – Add soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes. Stir and simmer for 2–3 minutes until sauce thickens slightly and coats the beef.
- Assemble Bowls – Divide cooked rice among bowls. Top with the flavored ground beef, green onions, sesame seeds, and optional vegetables.
- Serve – Serve hot and enjoy!
