Description

These delightful Chocolate Almond Bark Hot Chocolate Cups are perfect for the holiday season, combining rich chocolate with fluffy marshmallows and festive sprinkles.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 oz. chocolate almond bark
  • 6 packets instant hot chocolate mix
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 3 tbsp. Christmas sprinkles
  • 3 red paper straws, cut in half
  • 6 paper bathroom style cups
  • 1 piece of tape

Instructions

  1. Start by cutting a slit into one side of your cups. Use a piece of tape to connect both sides of the slit.
  2. Add the almond bark to a microwave safe bowl, and microwave for 30 second intervals, stirring between until melted.
  3. Take a spoon, and coat the inside of the paper cups with melted chocolate. Use the back of the spoon to smooth it out evenly, and add a little extra to the bottoms of the cups.
  4. Move these to the refrigerator to chill for 10 minutes.
  5. Repeat this again, adding another layer of chocolate to coat the inside of the cups.
  6. Press a straw halve into the middle of each cup.
  7. Move the cups to the refrigerator to chill for 10 more minutes.
  8. Once the chocolate sets, add hot chocolate mix to each cup, it will hold a little less than one pack. Leave a little space at the top to add more chocolate.
  9. Spoon a bit more chocolate into the top of the cups over the hot chocolate mix. Press some mini marshmallows into the chocolate on top.
  10. Use a fork to drizzle some chocolate over the marshmallows. Add a few more marshmallows, and sprinkle with sprinkles.
  11. Move the cups to the refrigerator for 20 minutes to set.
  12. Once the chocolate has set, remove the tape and peel the plastic cups away from the chocolate.
  13. Enjoy, or if desired, use any remaining melted chocolate (almond bark can be re-melted) to drizzle over the front of the cups. Sprinkle with more sprinkles.

Notes

  • For best results, ensure the chocolate is fully melted and smooth before coating the cups.
  • These cups can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator until serving.
