Description
Delicious and easy air fryer bites coated in cinnamon sugar, perfect for a snack or dessert.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup whole wheat pastry flour or all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons coconut sugar or light brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons coconut sugar or regular sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Olive oil spray or melted butter, for brushing
Instructions
- Make the Dough: In a medium bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, Greek yogurt, and vanilla. Add wet ingredients to dry and stir until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms. Do not overmix.
- Shape the Bites: Lightly flour your hands. Roll the dough into 20–22 small balls (about 1 inch). If the dough is too sticky, chill for 10–15 minutes.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes. Lightly grease the basket.
- Air Fry: Arrange dough balls in a single layer, not touching. Fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway, until golden and puffed.
- Coat in Cinnamon Sugar: Mix sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Once bites are hot, brush lightly with oil or butter and roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until fully coated.
Notes
- For a sweeter taste, use regular sugar instead of coconut sugar.
- Chilling the dough can help if it’s too sticky to handle.
