Description

Delicious grilled chicken skewers perfect for any barbecue or gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cubed
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into squares
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into squares
  • 1 large onion, cut into squares
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Wooden skewers, soaked in water for 30 minutes

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Chicken: In a bowl, combine olive oil, soy sauce, lemon juice, minced garlic, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Add the cubed chicken to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Prepare the Vegetables: Cut the bell peppers and onion into uniform pieces similar in size to the chicken cubes.
  3. Assemble Skewers: Thread the chicken, red pepper, green pepper, and onion alternately onto the skewers.
  4. Grill the Skewers: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and has nice grill marks.

Notes

  • Soak Skewers: Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before using to prevent burning.
  • Uniform Pieces: Cut chicken and vegetables into uniform pieces for even cooking.
  • Variety: Feel free to add other vegetables like cherry tomatoes or zucchini.
  • Check for Doneness: Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  • Resting: Let the skewers rest for a few minutes after grilling to let the juices settle.
