Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, mix melted butter and sugar until combined. Add eggs one at a time and stir in vanilla.
- In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. Gradually combine with the wet ingredients without overmixing.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes. Allow cooling completely on a wire rack.
- For frosting, beat softened butter until creamy, add powdered sugar gradually, then mix in heavy cream and peppermint extract until fluffy.
- Frost cooled brownies, then sprinkle with crushed candy canes and holiday sprinkles.
- Cut into squares and serve.
