Ingredients
Scale
- 3 medium fresh bananas, sliced
- 1 pint fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups whipped cream
- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust: In a bowl, mix the graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×9 inch baking dish to form an even layer.
- Make the Creamy Filling: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy. Add the sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, and vanilla extract; mix until fully combined and smooth.
- Incorporate Whipped Cream: Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well combined and fluffy.
- Layer the Dessert: Spread half of the creamy filling over the prepared crust. Arrange a layer of banana slices and strawberries over the filling. Add the remaining creamy filling on top of the fruit layer. Finish with another layer of banana slices and strawberries.
- Chill: Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set. For best results, chill overnight.
Notes
- Ensure the cream cheese is fully softened to avoid lumps in the filling.
- For added texture, sprinkle some additional graham cracker crumbs on the top layer before serving.
- If you prefer a firmer topping, use stabilized whipped cream.
- For a citrus twist, add a tablespoon of orange zest to the cream filling.
- Use fresh and ripe bananas and strawberries for optimal flavor.
