Description

Delicious and soft cookies loaded with white chocolate chips.


Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 teaspoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • Optional: ¼ cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt; set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  4. Beat in the egg, maple syrup, and vanilla until well combined.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients; mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in white chocolate chips and nuts if using.
  7. Chill dough for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
  10. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For a chewier cookie, do not overbake.
