Ingredients

  • 4 hot dogs
  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 2 cups prepared chili
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley or cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/4 cup diced onions (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Hot Dogs: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the hot dogs and cook until browned, about 5 minutes. Set aside.

  2. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  3. Assemble the Chili Dogs: Place the hot dog buns in a baking dish. Place a cooked hot dog in each bun. Pour about 1/2 cup of chili over each hot dog. Sprinkle the cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese evenly over the chili.
