Description

A delicious and flavorful Asian-style beef noodle dish that combines tender beef with vibrant vegetables and savory sauces.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g beef sirloin or ribeye, thinly sliced
  • 250g linguine or Asian-style egg noodles
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preparation of Ingredients: Thinly slice the beef against the grain. Season with salt and pepper. Prepare the vegetables: slice the red bell pepper and julienne the carrot. Mince the garlic and ginger.
  2. Cook the Noodles: Bring a pot of water to boil. Add the noodles and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Cook the Beef: In a large pan or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef slices and stir-fry until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. Stir-Fry Vegetables: In the same pan, add garlic and ginger. Stir-fry until fragrant. Add the sliced bell pepper and carrot. Stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes or until they start to soften.
  5. Combine Ingredients: Return the beef to the pan. Add the cooked noodles. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, and chili flakes. Pour over the noodles and beef. Toss everything together until well combined and heated through.
  6. Final Touches: Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.

Notes

  • To enhance flavors, marinate the beef with soy sauce and a little cornstarch for 15-20 minutes before cooking.
  • For a smokier flavor, use a high-temperature oil like peanut oil.
  • Feel free to add more vegetables like broccoli or snow peas for added nutrition and texture.
  • Adjust the spiciness by varying the amount of chili flakes according to your preference.
