Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup slivered almonds
  • Powdered sugar to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, almond flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and eggs until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  5. Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
  6. Sprinkle slivered almonds over the batter in each cup.
  7. Bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the muffins to cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
