- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
- Powdered sugar to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a muffin tin or line it with paper liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, almond flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- In another bowl, whisk the melted butter, milk, vanilla extract, and eggs until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups, filling each about two-thirds full.
- Sprinkle slivered almonds over the batter in each cup.
- Bake in the oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the muffins to cool for a few minutes in the pan before transferring them to a wire rack. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Make sure not to overmix the batter for a lighter texture.
- Substituting milk with a non-dairy option can make this recipe dairy-free.
